Canadian Firearms Safety Course

First-time license applicants must pass the Canadian Firearms Safety Course before applying for Possession and Acquisition Licence. After the in-class instruction, you will do a written and practical test.

Anyone 12 years or older can take the CFSC. Children under 12 can take the course, but only for educational purposes. They will not do the written or practical exams.

  • safe handling and carry procedures

Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course

Anyone wanting to acquire restricted firearms must also take the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course and pass the written and practical tests.

Details

Schedule: 8:30 am to 8:30 pm

Location: Bulkley Valley Rod and Gun Club at 7091 Kroeker Road in Smithers, BC.

Course cost: $273.00 ($260.00 + $13.00 GST) (includes PAL Manual).

If you wish to participate in the PAL course in Smithers, please sign up and pay for the course online (credit or debit card) or in person at Outdoor Essentials (cash, credit card or debit card).

Course size is limited to 12 people.
participation is on a first pay/first serve bases.

Cancellation Policy For courses:
- Cancellation with more than 7days notice - refund allowed
- Cancellation with between 7 and 2 days notice - 50% refund allowed with valid reason
- Cancellation with less than 2 days notice - No refund allowed or for non-attendance (a no-show)
