Scope and mount must not move under recoil. Any movement causes a point of aim to change. Conventional “sandwich style” rings clamp against themselves “pinching” the scope allowing slippage.

Sun Optics USA Sport Rings have twice the effective clamping area and use # 8 Torx head screws and a square recoil key that locks into the picatinny or standard (Weaver) dovetail base. The “wrap around” design pulls clamp ring down and around scope and eliminates the “sandwich” effect. Remember always try to adjust the mount as much as possible-not the scope.
